Wall of text:
If there is anyone I haven't messaged back on Facebook, my apologies. I have been swamped with all kinds of stuff. I guess a massive letter-writing campaign is in order. I'll let everyone into my world a little right now 'cause I don't know what else to really say.
For years, I've noticed a big ugly decline in organic reach with posts to my Facebook page.
I'm not sure what my best course of action to correct this is. I could pay for a Facebook ad but I'm not doing that because I owe Facebook about 60 bucks already. With the website's official relaunch on New Year's, I've been doing more work behind the scenes than anything else.
I am staying awake for 3, 4 and sometimes 5 days at a time before crashing. These painful days awake are split into timed work sessions on my website, writing/editing my book, storyboards and animation for my animated project, my new webcomic, my other webcomic, YouTube videos, market research, networking and working on a few other pieces of art I'm trying to finish and sell.
It gets tiring. I refuse to spam Facebook groups with lots of my art for more views or simply ram my art down people's throats all day long. I'd rather slit my wrists than do that.
Once I can get enough coming in from my new YouTube Channel and the merch shop that will soon be added to this website, as well as money from having native ads placed on my site in the near future, I'll be setting up Google AdWords PPC.
Down the road, as I increase the push to get the animated project onto television, I'll possibly consider making a game for the Adult Swim site first. They pick up more games than outsider animation so it could be a smart move if the game is dank as hell. I do know C++ and do have experience with GameMaker: Studio. It would be a fun project and I know that environment pretty well from prior experience years ago.
Also, I will be recording some new music as soon as I'm able to.
I can sometimes spend 10 minutes hammering out a single line of a drawing on a frame of animation, trying to make the line look flawless. This can put a huge lag on the progress. I do have the rougher in-between frames too which haven't been polished and I will be taking a much looser approach with the new webcomic just so it can get out the door faster.
More logical than sanity.
